Streuth! is an original expressive figure drawing drawn from life. It captures the emotions of the sitter in an expressive gesture, knelt over holding her head. The word streuth! is an australian term I heard very often in my house growing up.
The choice of using white charcoal was made to capture the light on the figure, looking for the light more than the shadows and this is a technique that I come back to frequently in my figure drawings.
The drawing is framed in a bronze frame to compliment the toned charcoal paper.
